On the blog page in the admin section, there are two tabs. The first is "Blog entries," which is how you navigate to each of your blog posts. The second is "homepage," where you can place static text like this above your blog posts. Just like the gallery tags, the blog entry tag displays in the admin side (below). To delete this text, just go to the "homepage" tab on your blog page in the admin section of your site.
To add new blog entries, select "New Blog Entry" from the admin toolbar. To subscribe to the RSS feed, just put /index.xml at the end of your blog URL.
